Who doesn’t love some good steak? Air fryer steak recipes make great food that can help you wind down after a long day. In fact, that’s how I got started with this recipe.

After a long day of work, I was exhausted. Luckily, my wife who I love so dearly had prepared some steak for me by using the air fryer. It was honestly so good that I needed to learn how to make it.

She taught me how she did it and not only was I surprised by how quick and easy it was to make, but how little ingredients I needed to make this.

Now, I’m going to teach you how to make it as well. Before that, here are some questions you should know the answer to.

Can you cook frozen steak in an air fryer?

You can. However, like a lot of other frozen foods, if you want to put it into an air fryer while it’s still frozen, you will have to cook it for a longer period of time.

Usually, you will have to cook the steak for 30 minutes if frozen instead of the 10 to 12 minutes if you let the steak thaw out. It’s not that big of an increase for cook time as it only adds about 18 minutes, but it’s still an increase nonetheless.

Is steak good in the air fryer?

It most certainly is! Not only is it good, but it’s healthier. The reason air fryers became so popular is because they are healthier than a standard fryer but they still produce an amazing taste.

A reason this is healthier is that there is less oil involved. Standard fryers use so much oil which isn’t healthy for you. With an air fryer, that’s not an issue which is why I personally prefer to use an air fryer over a regular.

The combination of tasty and healthy food is just too much for me to pass up.

What temperature should steak be cooked at?

400F is the temperature that steak is usually cooked at inside of an air fryer.

For the internal temperature, it should be at 150F for medium-well, 145F for medium, 135F for medium-rare, and 125F for rare.

What makes a good air fryer steak recipe?

The quality of meat is everything. If you ever had a poor quality piece of steak, you will know that it doesn’t matter how good of a cook you are, a bad piece of steak won’t taste right. Have a fresh and quality steak makes it difficult to butcher a recipe.

That’s why I always make sure to get some of the best cuts because that’s what determines the outcome of a recipe. Of course, you have to prepare everything correctly, but the quality of the ingredients is the main factor to worry about.

Speaking of ingredients, it’s time to talk about what ingredients you will need for this recipe.

Air fryer steak ready in just 12 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 Piece Ribeye Steak
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Kosher Salt (To taste)
  • Ground Black Pepper (To taste)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the steaks with some salt and pepper
  2. Place the seasoned the steak inside an air fryer and cook at 400F for about 10 to 12 minutes. Depending on the thickness of the steak, flip it halfway through to get a medium steak.
  3. Once that is done, put some butter on top of the steak and serve.

Notes

Again, the quality of the steak will greatly affect how everything will turn out in the end. Make sure you try to find the best steak you can find. Trust me, you don't want to cheap out on this. No point in putting in all of the effort to make the recipe if you are going to be using poor steak.

That’s it! You have finished the recipe and it was all done in under 20 minutes. That’s pretty good for a delicious meal in my opinion.

Hopefully, this is something that you will regularly incorporate into your cookbook. It’s a great recipe that you and your family can enjoy. Not to mention, it’s a much healthier alternative to a regular fried steak.
